I lost my wife and kids because I won too many times and i was too powerful. But I loved the game and would reccomend it to anyone.

I’ve met a lot of people who love Catan, and it seems like it opened up a lot of people’s minds to the possibilities in board games.

Personally, I was into geek board games for years before Catan came out and I’ve always felt like it was very lacking.

I can see why some people got into it in a world before Euros, but there .are so many better worker placement games out there now.

Settlers of catan now comes with a border so it doesn’t shift easily.

Settlers of Catan is the game that really ignited my passion for board games. You are right it truly is a gateway game. Almost without fail it is the game I love to bring out to introduce people to the world of strategy games.

We recently played in the North American Catan Championship. This was an amazing experience and a chance to see how Settlers of Catan really appeals to such a wide audience.
